INTRODUCTION TO APPLIED ZOOPHARMACOGNOSY & IMIM

About Me!

My Journey into Canine Training, Wellness & Behaviour

When I lost my beloved dog in June 2019, it left an emptiness that was hard to fill. That changed in September, when I welcomed a puppy from the same bloodline into my life, a moment that reignited my passion for dogs in unexpected ways.

What began as a personal healing journey soon expanded into supporting others. I started walking dogs, pet sitting, and caring for a range of breeds, from Chihuahuas to Cockapoos. One of my most rewarding experiences was helping an anxious dog overcome severe separation anxiety and seeing her flourish.

In 2022, I attended an assessment class at Alpha Dog Training Club (Finsbury Park), which opened my eyes to the world of dog training. I trained my own dog to Gold Level in the Good Citizen Dog Scheme, and this inspiration led me to volunteer and attend the PDTI Instructor's Assessment Course in July 2023, successfully gaining my first Teaching Award.

My passion lies in understanding canine behaviour and promoting holistic wellness. I've always believed in nourishing dogs with healthy, homemade meals and treats. In 2023, I began studying Applied Zoopharmacognosy through the Ingraham Method of Individualised Medicine (IMIM) and am set to complete my diploma in early 2026. As a student practitioner, I now offer plant-based remedies under expert guidance.

On 7 July 2026, I achieved my certification in Companion Animal Iridology. This fascinating subject provides valuable insights into the wellbeing of dogs and cats. For example, if you have changed your pet's diet and are unsure whether it is supporting their health or placing additional strain on the body, iridology may provide further information. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace veterinary care, but it can help inform discussions with your veterinarian when appropriate.

On 25 July 2026, I successfully passed the PDTI Instructor's Assessment, achieving the Level 2 Instructing Skills Award. This milestone further developed my knowledge, practical training abilities, and confidence in supporting both dogs and their owners through positive, reward-based training methods.

I am committed to continuing my professional development and expanding my knowledge in canine welfare and holistic health. Alongside further developing my dog training skills, I am currently studying Canine Herbalism, Phytoembryonics for Companion Animals and Humans, and Canine Nutrition. These studies complement my existing qualifications and help me take a more holistic approach to supporting the physical, emotional, and behavioural wellbeing of animals.

This journey has brought me healing, growth, and a deeper connection with both dogs and their people. Through continual learning and practical experience, I am passionate about helping animals thrive and supporting owners in building happy, healthy, and rewarding relationships with their companions.
